Another friend's success

Post by Windwalker »

Following the acceptance of Calvin's story at Analog, another science fiction writer whom I know, Jack McDevitt, just received the Nebula award for his novel Seeker.

McDevitt is considered a representative of the Golden Age renaissance in the genre. At least two of his novels are among the best I have ever read: The Engines of God and A Talent for War.

Given his cumulative achievement, I think Jack well deserved the award.

Thank you for posting this. Congrats to Calvin for the accepted submission!

Calvin, can you tell us a bit about the story? :D

Kathryn, if you go to the Poetry & Prose section, Calvin posted the opening scene of his story (it's titled Political Science).

Again, Political Science is an excellent, realistic story that just draws one in from the start. And congrats to Jack as well; that's great news!
